the first movie that made me cry !

I'm not the type who cries over sappy movies. I usually just stay silent, teary eyed, whenever a movie hit me hard. But this one caused me sobbing eyes. Hachiko is not just about your ordinary dog-man relationship movie, it's about faith, devotion and undying love which actually happens in real life. I wonder if there are still existing Hachiko out there, either human or animal. His loyalty for his master lasted until the day it died.

Picture of Hachikō (in real life)
Breed : Akita Inu
Gender : Male
Born : November 10, 1923
near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture
Died : March 8, 1934 (aged 12)
Shibuya, Tokyo
Resting place : National Science Museum of Japan in Ueno, Tokyo.
Owner : Hidesaburō Ueno
Appearance : golden brown with cream color on upper face

Hachikō exhibited at the National Science Museum of Japan in Ueno.

In April 1934, a bronze statue in his likeness was erected at Shibuya Station and Hachikō himself was present at its unveiling. The statue was recycled for the war effort during World War II. In 1948 The Society for Recreating the Hachikō Statue commissioned Takeshi Ando, son of the original artist who had since died, to make a second statue. The new statue, which was erected in August 1948, still stands and is an extremely popular meeting spot. The station entrance near this statue is named "Hachikō-guchi", meaning "The Hachikō Exit", and is one of Shibuya Station's five exits.

Aw! Any movie about a man and his dog has the potential to make me cry. Haha it doesn't take much for me, but I LOVE dogs, so I'm prone to being emotional in those kinds of movies. Hachikō was a beautiful dog!

It makes me cry at the end of the story. It´s just not a movie of dog sense, but it is more...
