GT #3 - THE OTHER SIDE INTELLIGENCE

Posted by LIMBERELLA at 7/15/2010 11:38:00 PM

I have a confession to make, I have four failures in my Transcript (T.O.R.). Can I cover my face now? *smiles* I failed in biology, chemistry and two maths (what's to brag about this?.) But I don't see myself as dumb. I always live by the thought that my grades doesn't reflect my learning (which is kind of difficult to make it sound okay during job interviews). Hmm.. I am not so much of the academic but I managed to have good grades except for math and science.. But as what they claim, and which I quite agree (humble effect), I excel in ENGLISH. The pronouns, grammars, sentence constructions, etc., seem to be an easy money for me. I can formulate my sentences well and with all fairness, articulate enough when ask to read it. I manage to deliver extemporaneous speeches, elocution pieces and individual reportings, but never think of joining any organizations. *smiles again*

I can also say that my conversational skill is commendable. I can handle conversations with different people. This, which is applicable to my job as a Human Resource Staff. I handle interviews and maintain a conversational level with applicants. I do background checking and orientations, both of which require a good speaking skill. Hmmm... I hope I don't sound like a big braggadocio.

To sum it up, we all have the right to claim our different sides of intelligence. But for me, INTELLIGENCE is more than the digits or letters in one's T.O.R. or report card, it's having the wits and articulation wrapped with confidence, that will make a person stand out in a crowd of Einsteins.
