I was really close to sobbing after watching EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES! The scenes kept on sending me goosebumps because the characters portray an empathetic role that depicts a drama in real life. This is about a father John (BRENDAN FRASER) who gambled his life finding a miracle cure for his two children suffering from a POMPE DISEASE. A genetic disease involving deterioration of muscles caused by accumulation of glycogen ( it's kind of scientific but more will be learned if you will search in the net). And his children's slim chances of survival is now on the hands of the genius, rough tough professor Dr. Stonehill ( Harrisson Ford) whose brilliant ideas remains to be only theoretical and unproven. In the end, MIRACLE happens for both John and Stonehill, a miracle they made with faith.
I learned three things from the story:
1. The tagline of the movie, "DON'T HOPE FOR A MIRACLE, MAKE ONE"
2. The most important ingredient for a miracle to happen is faith. (John's faith is like level 1000).
3. Sometimes, pride will do no good. (As for Stonehill's case)
THIS MOVE IS A TWO THUMBS UP!

This is my first entry for the TUESDAY COUCH POTATOES. The theme is about MATT DAMON'S FILMS. Well, I'm not such a big fan but my boyfriend is. So every time there's a Damon film, have no choice but to endure the 2-hour yawning moments at the movie house..=)..But one film that caught my attention is THE BROTHERS GRIMM (in memory of Heath Ledger). In all fairness, the movie is nice. I must say Matt Damon deserves an applause. Cheerio!
SUMMARY OF THE FILM:
Folklore collectors and con artists, Jake and Will Grimm, travel from village to village pretending to protect townsfolk from enchanted creatures and performing exorcisms. They are put to the test, however, when they encounter a real magical curse in a haunted forest with real magical beings, requiring genuine courage.
In 1811, in a French occupied Germany, the crooks Brothers Grimm pretend to fight against evil witches and monsters to make money. However, they are arrested by Cavaldi and General Delatombe, but they have a chance to redeem themselves in the village of Marbaden, where ten young girls have vanished. Will and Jacob are guided by the local Angelika through an enchanted forest where they face the evil Mirror Queen that depends on the sacrifice of twelve girls in the eclipse to stay beautiful and young.

WHO WOULD NOT LOVE C2?
Most people in the office would call me the C2 girl! I just love C2. It's like my mantra! Hehehe. You can spot me with it in my hand whenever it's available in the cafeteria. I also include it in the grocery list every time. My favorite flavor is APPLE. One time, they even threw me a C2 birthday blast during my 24th birthday. Everyone gave his/ her fair share of C2 as a birthday gift. You can tell by the picture below how funny I look like.
I happen to grab this comment from the net and I like how this person's insight matches mine:
Green Tea’s centuries old reputation of containing natural anti-oxidants giving our body health benefits such as lowering of cholesterol, reduction of heart ailments, improvement of metabolic activities, flushing out our body’s impurities, and many more…However, not all people can appreciate the taste green tea, or is even fond of drinking it. I am glad Universal Robina Corporation came up with a way to make people drink green tea by making it in a non-carbonated drink called C2 cool & clean green tea drink that comes in different flavours that will suit every person’s taste. They have a variety of flavours like Black Tea Lemon, Peach, Apple, Green Tea, Lemon, Plain and even Lite. The anti-oxidant it has is called “catechins” that is said to help prevent diseases and even cancer. So, it is even healthier than soda. And since it comes in ready-to-drink bottles of different size, it is easy for you to carry around. It is the coolest and a very healthy way to refresh your body!
My brother was generous enough to take photos of these while we were in the gasoline station..=)
